 Initial Consultation to establish the design brief

In this initial discovery phase, I meet with you in your home and get to know your design ambitions, budget and timeline. I'll gain insight into the context, how you live and how you want to live. From the brief I develop a detailed Scope of Work and provide you with an Interior Design Proposal.

Concept & Schematic

The design phase begins with developing a Concept that will inform all decisions. From our discovery workshops, I'll develop the palette and room layouts, explore finishes and styles, and create schematic sketches and a Mood Board to help you visualise the design.

Design Development

During the design development stage, I refine the layout, specify key finishes and materials and finalise lighting concepts. You receive provisional documentation and quotes from suppliers. This phase relies on two-way communication and open feedback to fine-tune and resolve the design.

Documentation

Once the design is approved, the technical phase begins. Before the builder comes on site, every detail of your project is built...on paper. You receive the detailed construction package with floorplans, elevations and schedules required by the builder and trades for tender and construction.

Quote sourcing & Procurement

Know the cost of finishes, fittings and lighting before any orders are placed. This phase allows you to make informed decisions and understand where you are investing your money. Cove Design Studio can procure finishes, fittings, lighting, furniture and accessories for your project.

Project Facilitation

Keep your project on track with regular site meetings with the builder and trades coordinated by Cove Design Studio. Between site meetings, you have time to focus on what you do best - your day job. Caroline will be the point of contact for design and materials supply queries from the builder and trades. NOTE: Project Coordination does not include financial and contract negotiations and Project Management.

Hand-Over

If Cove Design Studio has been engaged for Project Coordination of the Interior Design aspects of the project a defects walk will be conducted with you and the builder and/or trades, a list compiled and the rectification supervised and managed.
