PROJECT PROFILE
Brunswick
Possibly like the fashion of the 80s, this townhouse had some great features to enhance (think big windows) and others to overhaul.
To reflect my client, the spaces needed to be less chunky and industrial and more refined and sophisticated. Another focus was to work the palette and finishes to bring light and texture into the South-facing Bathroom, Kitchen and Living area.
The Kitchen was opened up, and the Euro-Laundry was relocated to the Bathroom upstairs, once the corner spa bath vacated the space. Decades-old, charcoal-grey synthetic carpet was replaced with a subtle, earthy, wool loop-pile and extended to cover the stairs, bringing a greater sense of luxury to the home. Timber Venetian blinds were replaced by floor-to-ceiling sheer curtains that give privacy and cast a gentle glow throughout the rooms.
Not afraid of colour and texture, my client and I enjoyed exploring options for the benchtops, landing on the stunning Belceppo terrazzo for the Kitchen and Calacatta Vagli marble for the Bathroom/Laundry.
Like the cut of a well-made suit, the townhouse now offers stylish and comfortable spaces that make my client feel special.
