With stunning views across the rooftops to the city of Melbourne, this contemporary penthouse apartment in leafy Fitzroy North was home to a professional couple and their primary-school-aged daughters. My clients wanted the spaces revived, particularly the bathrooms, and storage added.

Not long into the project, the brief for my clients and me changed to preparing the apartment for sale due to an offer for them to move overseas that was too good to refuse.

I worked with my clients to maximise the appeal of the apartment while staying focused on the budget. Colour and texture came to the party. The open-plan Living, Dining and Kitchen area was enhanced by painting the wall of the Kitchen and cladding the island bench with beautiful, fluted timber battens.

The carpet and bathroom cabinetry were replaced, providing contemporary finishes and increasing functionality. The entire apartment was painted, and new window furnishings framed the floor-to-ceiling views of the city.

I designed and coordinated this renovation project for my clients, allowing them to focus on relocating their lives overseas. Managing tenders, the trades, procurement, and the looming auction deadline made this an exciting project.
